About ICSA Training
| The Indian (Sub-Cont) Crisis & Support Agency is the first NGO in Australia dedicated to the needs of the Indian Subcontinent (South Asian) communities. The community is one of the most rapidly growing demographics in Australia. The people bringing a wealth of capital, skills, diverse cultures and traditions, as well as shared opportunities for prosperity between countries. Any growing community brings with it challenges, emerging needs and responses to ensure social welfare. The difficulties faced by Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities are less documented and poorly acknowledged within the service support systems. Cultural complexity, intersections and barriers means vulnerable people fall through the cracks and get no proper or timely support. The ICSA was established as a response to gaps and inadequate support systems. |
